Barack Obama - Inaugural Address
"That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet."

Indeed Mr. President, you have depicted exactly the actual state of things. Just one remark: you are becaming a little to aggressive and the American administration proves once again that is reluctant to any profound change. You have to stand tall and ferm in order to change a few people there who are well stuck on their paranoia of seeing enemies around them, their constant struggle of seeking adversaries that we been used to under the Bush administration.
Exercise of imagination: try to imagine a meeting between Obama and A. Lincoln.

Barack Obama- The Audacity of Hope
Today Barack Obama entered into history books, officially becoming the 44 th American president. The first thought that pops up my mind, when it comes to Mr. Obama, is the fact that this politician is simply too good to be true. He has solutions for almost every social problem. And the truth is that the nowdays society has a lot of problems, starting from environmental issues, social turmoils, the more and more intense lack of capital that menaces to disrupt the already weakened global economy etc.
The Audacity of Hope, Barack Obama's autobiography, is one of the best written books of its kind that I've ever read. I must underline best written because, as the political image of the American president, it is flawless, sounds perfect from the first till the last word. It is a PR material, first of all. It depicts Barack Obama in all kind of day to day situations as a regular human he is. Or he isn't? He talks with the same empathy to African americans, Caucasians, Mexicans. Has the perfect solution for the poors of the american society and also is the perfect business adviser for capitalists in this harsh recession days.
With the help of unprecedented Media campaign, the American president entered into millions of houses around the world as a sign of hope, first of all. From Africa to Europe he is shown as a trusting and supporting friend. He has lost the Mister appellative and became simply Obama, widely known, from the poor outskirts of the african cities till the exclusive european academic groups, the most powerful brand America has to offer nowdays.
Let's set one thing clear: Obama is definetly not the universal cure-all. This thing does not exist and all you dreamers out there will be disappointed, that's for sure. Most important: is he a good man? The vaste majority of us, including myself, will say yes. But not few are the cases in which good intentions are at the origins of profound evil.
Another perspective is to think of Obama as an extremely interesting social experiment, guided by elitist groups from Washington, the first attempt of the "American Empire" to govern the world with the weapons of the good guys: tolerance, humanness and positiveness. A desperate attempt to coagulate the entire Western world around a charismatic figure, as a response against China's and other Great Powers's intention to install a New World Order.
The Obama era will surely bring one major change. And more than welcomed, in my opinion: The end of the war against terror. After years of weltering this war against ghosts will come to its end. Anyway Barack Obama will be, for sure, the most interesting american president since J.F.K. And one thing must be said : his era will end or with a formidable success or in absolute failure. The level of expectation and hope regarding Obama, all around the world, is so high that he simply hasn't a third choice. And that being said I wish you good luck Mr. Obama!
